In the middle of the hustle bustle of Jaipur is the protected forest of Jhalana leopard reserve, a dry deciduous forest, spread over 21sq.km. This small patch of forest shelters a very healthy and sustainable population of Indian Leopards.
Jhalana has approximately 20-22 leopards. The chances of sighting these beautiful elusive cats here are very high. Along with leopard, it is home to The Blue bull (Asia’s largest Antelope), spotted deer, and Grey mongoose, Black naped Hare, Porcupine, Fox and Hyenas etc. Jhalana is brilliant for bird watching as well; it hosts about 150 different species of birds. Indian Peafowl, Francolins, Shikra, Drongos, Babblers, Parakeets, Indian Pitta, Rollers, Bee eaters can be seen here.

JHALANA RESERVE FOREST is situated very close to JAIPUR city, where you can have an EYE TO EYE with the main predator i.e. LEOPARDS.
There are around 32-35 LEOPARDS in the park. Besides leopards there Hyenas, wild fox, golden jackals, blue bulls, peacocks, spotted deer, Indian pitta, Eurasian sparrowhawck and many more to explore.
